Cross phase Sensory Stories Training in March –
HEP is delighted to share information about training taking place at Oaklands School in March.
The course title is: Adapting stories, books and texts using a multisensory approach
During this training, you will learn what a sensory story is, its benefits and how to adapt stories, books and texts using a multisensory approach. Sensory stories are a brilliant way of promoting a love of reading for pleasure for pupils with complex additional needs.
This course aims to support delegates to build their confidence in creating and using sensory stories in their own setting.
The pupils who would benefit include SEN students in both primary and secondary settings, as well as early years students in mainstream settings.
The training will take place at Oaklands School, Gresham Road, TW3 4BX Hounslow unless covid-related issues come up, in which case it will be offered online.
This is a two-session course –
- Session 1: Thursday 10th March 2022 4-5pm
- Session 2: Thursday 17th March 2022 4-5pm
