Training to support children impacted by Domestic Abuse receives a positive response –
This funded training, facilitated by AVA (Against Violence and Abuse) received a positive response from participants. The two twilight sessions focused on behavioural, emotional and cognitive effects on children, as well as the impact on parenting for both the abusive and non-abusive parent.
Here are some delegates’ comments:
The self-guided learning pack was “useful and accessible – quick to access”; “helped in preparing the mind for the course”
“There was plenty of time for discussion which was valuable.”
“Learning points – strategies to help support, and ideas to consider, if children have been impacted. It allowed me to think about the issues more than before and indicators of the impact.”
The feedback we receive from delegates is important so that future training can be planned and delivered effectively.
