Engaging Parents in Reading for Pleasure – Three-Part Webinar Series

Book here – Your booking is for all three webinars

Wandle English Hub, in partnership with HEP, is delighted to offer this free three-part webinar series exclusively for Hounslow schools, supporting schools to develop a targeted, inclusive and sustainable approach to engaging families in reading for pleasure.

Across the three sessions, participants will:

  • Explore the evidence – drawing on EEF and OU Reading for Pleasure research to understand why family engagement matters and why a targeted approach is essential.
  • Listen to and reach families – identify who may not be engaging, understand the barriers they face and use parent voice to shape more accessible and meaningful approaches.
  • Turn evidence into action – trial practical approaches, including BookTrust and Wandle English Hub resources, and develop an action plan for sustainable change beyond the National Year of Reading.

This research-based series would be ideal for class teachers, ECTs, SLT, reading leaders.
