DESCRIPTION:Hounslow School Leadership Cluster Programme 2021/22\nLed by Dr John Yates\nBy selecting 1 on the booking form\, you will register your school interest in the full 2021/22 programme.  \nThe six-session cluster leadership programme for the senior teams of Hounslow primary schools has been very well received for the decade in which it has been running. The purpose of the sessions has always been to provide senior teams with structured\, high quality strategic thinking time\, consistent with the underlying theme of ‘getting ahead and staying ahead’. \nThe 2021/22 programme starting in September (dates TBC) will build on the work done this year. In addition to keeping participants up to date with key national developments\, the sessions will focus on: \n\nbuilding a curriculum that will equip children for life\nbecoming an even stronger values-led school\ntaking the personal development of pupils to a deeper level\nshaping teaching and learning in readiness for the future\nmaximising the job satisfaction and fulfilment of the workforce\n\nThe online sessions will be 3.5 hours in length and available for viewing over a ten-day period. The fee per session per school will be circa £150.  \nSchools wishing to participate in the 2021/22 programme starting in September will need to sign-up by Friday 30 April 2021. DESCRIPTION:How to make Primary Pupils Think Like Geographers \nThis workshop will explore lively and engaging ways to bring National Curriculum Primary Geography to life for teachers in key stages 1 and 2. In this CPD\, we will explore the wonder of Geography and consider what it means to see the world through a geographical lens. We seek to support teachers to develop knowledge rich\, progressive curriculum opportunities that promote geographical vocabulary and value geography enquiry approaches. We will share a range of teaching and learning ideas for developing children’s knowledge of the world\, meaningful map-making and creative fieldwork. This workshop will include practical\, hands-on ideas to foster children’s curiosity and fascination in their local area and beyond\, with attention to geographical thinking and rigour.

DESCRIPTION:Develop your A level teaching is a forum for Hounslow teachers and leaders with a passion and responsibility for excellent provision at post-16 to share their expertise and champion best practice in their subject. This programme is driven by a shared acknowledgement of historic underachievement at post-16 across the borough\, despite impressive performance at KS4. \nThis is a HEP-wide programme of high quality training that is based on current and relevant educational theory and research\, supporting the in-school CPD offer. \nHEP schools\, with or without a sixth form\, can opt into this collaborative programme\, nominating teachers with any level of experience to attend. \n\nThree meetings held during the year based on the four HEP principles:\n\nIntroducing new knowledge: small steps  and questioning\nApplication: models and scaffolds\nReviewing material: daily\, weekly and monthly\nGuided independent practice: How to  set it\, monitor it and check it\n\n\nKeynote presenters and subject group facilitators sourced by HEP\nBreakout groups where colleagues discuss the implications specific to their students\nHEP-wide collaboration and sharing of best practice specific to A level teaching with subject groups\nBuilding sustainable networks of subject specialists for support beyond the calendared meetings\nSubjects offered: Maths\, English\, Biology\, Chemistry\, Physics\, Geography\, History\, RE\, Sociology\, Psychology\, Economics\, French\, Spanish\, Business Studies BTEC
